Since 2003 Oskar Zieta has been working as a research associate and a teaching assistant at the chair of CAAD at the ETH in Zurich where he is writing his doctoral thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ludger Hovestadt. The main focus of his thesis is the input of computer-controlled machines in processing of metal sheets in the architecture and design.

Zieta’s main goal is to deliver uniqueness and customization in design and constructions while keeping the production, transport and warehousing innovatively efficient. Throughout design process they want to reach the best possible synergy between technology and design. This is how Zieta imagines the future world: Light, durable structures of customized applications produced on demand out of one-of-a-kind parts, yet efficiently.
